Sclerotherapy - Spider Vein Treatment After Care
Immediate Post-Treatment Care:
- Walk for 10–15 minutes to promote circulation.
- Do not sit or stand still for long periods right after treatment.
- Wear compression stockings continuously for 24-72 hours. After that, wear them during the day for the next 1–2 weeks.
Avoid for 48-72 hours
- Avoid vigorous exercise, heavy lifting, or high impact activities
- Avoid hot baths, saunas, & hot tubs
- Avoid direct sun exposure
Common Side Effects:
- Mild bruising, swelling, or tenderness at the injection sites is common and should resolve within a few days. You may use acetaminophen for discomfort (avoid ibuprofen or aspirin).
- Temporary hyperpigmentation may occur along treated veins and typically fades over time.
